PAX East 2011 attendees count reaches almost 70,000

The official attendance of PAX East 2011 was 69,500.  Compared to last year's 52,290, that's quite the feat.  I suppose this justifies changing to a larger location this year.  No clue what they'll do to handle the masses in 2012, but I'm already looking forward to finding out.

PAX East 2011: Day 3 in pictures

Unfortunately, it all has to end sometime.  With the third and final day of the Expo behind us, we finally get down to the task of writing our thoughts and posting our videos.  Expect to see coverage of everything from Firefall to Battlefield 3, Guild Wars 2 to LA Noire, and Portal 2 to New ...

PAX East 2011: Day 2 in pictures

So ends Day 2.  It was a long day, but a rewarding one.  Even though we were a little late to the floor for the Media hour (because we were late getting up and also because the Press room was out of lockers which caused us some consternation), we still managed to see Portal 2 ...

PAX East 2011: Day 1 in pictures

2

Here's a quick photo rundown of the first day.  I was disappointed we didn't see more cosplayers to be honest.  There were a few that we didn't get pictures of, but we got most of the more interesting ones.  This will be updated as we add photos from the various devices we all had.

Penny Arcade Expo East. Is it that time already?[UPDATED]

It would appear that last year's experimental Penny Arcade Expo here on the East Coast was a success, because they're doing it again this year and in a bigger venue.  What does that mean for you, dear reader?  Well, considering we've once again managed to secure press passes this year, it could mean a whole ...

I don't know about you, but for me the recent Battlefield 3 teaser and subsequent gameplay trailer sort of redefined how excited a game trailer/teaser can get me.  The thing is, BF3 is a game I and many many others have been anxiously awaiting for what seems like an eternity, so that took a lot ...

Battlefield 3 gameplay trailer, no further headline necessary

0

Just a warning, it's much more "teaser" than "trailer," but if you flip that magical "1080p" switch and get your crazy little fingers poised over the pause button, you're in for what looks to be some of the most impressive visuals ever to grace your humble monitor. Time to start saving for an upgraded ...

Angry gamers are ruining gaming?

0

That's right folks, apparently the Community Manager for Treyarch, Josh Olin, believes that the "negativity" coursing through the veins of the video game world is bad for gaming innovation.  Here's a full quote, from an article over at Nowgamer.com: Personally, as a community manager who lives in the media or social media world every day, I ...

A Nerd’s Quest for the Elder Scrolls

Found via Kotaku, this little cartoon pretty much sums up the average Elder Scrolls fanboy.  I'll admit, I'm one of them, as I've been playing Oblivion almost non-stop of late.

Battlefield 3 site is live, teaser will make you feel things in your naughty bits [Updated]

Okay, so the latter part of my headline might be more anecdotal than factual, but, in my defense, it's been a very very long time since I've wanted to play a game as badly as I want to play Battlefield 3.  We've had hints and allusions to what's going to make it into the "true ...
