Hot on the heels of The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, it’s been announced that Borderlands is due for another round of DLC.  This time you’ll be taken to “Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot” for three “Riot Mode” arenas.  But you’re not just getting more gameplay time here; there are quests which allow you to earn two additional skill points and, more interestingly, there’s going to be some sort of bank functionality introduced to you let all you loot whores store that really awesome orange gun that you never use…you dick.

Like Zombie Island, it’ll cost around $10 and, also like Zombie Island, it’s dated for 360 (December 29) and PS3 (January 7), but not for PC.  Maybe they’re fixing network issues.  HAHAHA funny joke, right?  I mean really, who wants a game that works the way it’s advertised/intended anyway?

It’s also worth noting that The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned included SecuROM DRM which limits the user to 5 activations, effectively defeating the purpose of a service like Steam.  I’d bet that Mad Moxxi will follow suit.

Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot is an intense single-player or cooperative experience that expands the mayhem by adding three new Riot Mode arenas where players will endure an onslaught of Pandora’s baddest enemies. Working together, players will fend off the masses as they fight for fame, honor, and more importantly, loot.  Mad Moxxi’s Underdome Riot also adds a new bank feature, which allows players extra storage capacity for when they encounter one of the more than 16 million weapons that Borderlands has to offer; and the ability to acquire two additional skill points as quest rewards, making their characters even more powerful than before.
